7.29.08 - UPDATE
Malamute:
Prepare your throbbing loins for a band that can convincingly pull off anything they damn well please. Featuring a confounding amalgam of angular, hard-charging, post-fucking-everything, and a heroic dose of lighter-in-the-air arena rock, Hattiesburg, Mississippi’s Malamute defy simple categorization, and leave an increasing number of jowls scraping linoleum with every advancing measure. Add to the equation a rather passionate vocal delivery, and the result is a musically un-pigeonhole-able, multi-pronged, synth-heavy circus-opera that attacks the senses with genre-bending aplomb. If sweet hair and laborious fashion sense were substituted for actual talent and clever song-writing, your sister and her boyfriend would be perfecting their ultra-limber, cutesy double-push strokes at the local roller rink to the epic sounds of Malamute. Their debut, Breathe Deeply, Horse is available as of TODAY in our webstore.
Ganon:
The G-Unit is currently preparing for another quick cruise through the Northeast in support of their latest behemoth, As Above, So Below. You can find the dates/cities below:
8/2: Akron, OH - Annabell's
8/3: Rochester, NY - The Bug Jar
8/4: Buffalo, NY - Xtreme Wheels (w/ Intronaut, Behold…The Arctopus, & Mouth Of The Architect)
8/5: Doylestown, PA - Main St. Baptist Church
8/6: Torrington, CT - Club Serenity
8/7: Brooklyn, NY - Club Europa
8/8: Wheeling, WV - Yesterday's
The Devil And The Sea:
The genteel young men of The Devil And The Sea, outside of getting some amazing press by way of reviews lately, have recently done interviews with Decibel Magazine, Unrestrained! Magazine, Live4Metal.com via Metal Mark, and have submitted a tour diary of their Westerly stroll this past Spring to DeafSparrow.com. They're currently whittling away at follow up material to Heart Vs. Spine, and word around the campfire is that it's gonna be recorded/produced by a certain someone that will remain nameless at this point in time, but will prove exciting once we reveal it. There ya go!
El Chupa Cobras:
The Cobras are currently taking a small break from ruling in order to write new material that will enable them to rule even harder. They will resume kicking regional ass toward the end of the year. And like The Devil And The Sea, you can find an interview with Metal Mark at Live4Metal.com.
Dysrhythmia:
The Dysrhythmia fellows recently returned home from dumbfounding a few thousand people on a month-long trek around the US, showcasing some of the stellar follow-up material to 2006's Barriers And Passages (Relapse Records). You can find a rather entertaining photo diary on their myspace page.
Label News:
The StonerRock.com webstore, All That Is Heavy, has recently picked up the entire Acerbic Noise catalog to be carried in their distro. So if that's your preferred place to pick up new music, by all means scoop up a couple of AND titles while you're there!
A couple of small reminders worth pointing out:
*All Acerbic Noise titles can be found on iTunes.
*All Acerbic Noise bands are available for interviews.
As always, thanks for the support!
1.29.08 - UPDATE
Deliveries from The Devil And The Sea and El Chupa Cobras are now available in our virtual vending machine. It’s a safe bet that both bands would be highly appreciative of you kindly purchasing copies of this material post-haste.
Additionally, Ganon’s As Above, So Below will street 2/26/08! Stay tuned for details! So tuned that you quit work, drop out of school, and stop brushing your teeth for the dentist recommended amount of time. But still brush ‘em. It’s important. Oh, and the Zoroaster/Sourvein/Ganon tour is fast approaching, so check the Shows section for dates!
12.20.2007 - UPDATE
LOTS to update everyone on!! We've been down for a while, but upcoming activity in '08 promises that you'll be sick of us by mid year!
The Devil And The Sea's debut full length Heart Vs. Spine will be available 1.29.08, with pre-order packages becoming available January 2nd through January 16th. It should be a perfect opportunity to spend some of that Christmas scratch granny gave you because she doesn't know what to buy her weirdo grandkid. It was mastered by Sanford Parker (Pelican, Rwake, Minsk, Buried At Sea) at Volume Studios, and includes a cameo appearance by Kenny Johnson of El Chupa Cobras. We've got some advanced words from Unrestrained! Magazine regarding this release that we'd like to share with you at this time: "Brute, unapologetic and just downright loud n' dirty dirge...If this band plays their cards right, they could be a buzz band in '08." - UNRESTRAINED!
January 29th will also see the release of El Chupa Cobras' inaugural self-titled effort, which was mastered by Nick Zampiello (Craw, Daughters, KEN mode) at New Alliance East. Again, some advanced hype from the pages of Unrestrained!: "...ADD-riddled attitude and momentum...an intriguing style of rock n' riffs and punk demeanor that will have your attention..." - UNRESTRAINED!
Ganon will also be releasing the follow-up to In The Dead Of Sleep (entitled As Above, So Below), in the winter of '08. This will accompany a Metal Maniacs-sponsored northeastern tour with Zoroaster and Sourvein. Visit our shows section for dates.
Additionally, we've got 2 new signings to announce:
Malamute (Angular-punk lords from Hattiesburg, MS)
Tugnut (Sultans of skronk from Cambridge, Ontario.) That's in Canada, kids.
Malamute is hard at work on their as-yet-untitled debut, and we should be spitting that out nice and shiny in the early Spring, as well as remodeling and reissuing Tugnut's self-released EP, Golden Chopper, around the same time.
That's it for now! And as always, thanks for the support!
8.28.07 - UPDATE
Welcome to the fresh, new Acerbic Noise website! Take a look around, make yourself at home. Refreshments will be laid out in the lobby in about an hour or so.
We'd like to give our utmost thanks to Reid Karle @ RCK Media Design for ignoring his responsibilities and using far too much of his otherwise lucrative time to help us piece this thing together.
In other news, the Dysrhythmia/Rothko Fractures split CD is out TODAY! You can find it in our store, and at fine record stores everywhere. If you discover that your favorite record shop doesn’t have it, chain yourself to the cash register (or clerk) and demand that they get it! We’re not hard to find. Refuse to shower for added effect! Who knows, we may even pay your bail.
Also, The Devil And The Sea and Ganon are both putting the finishing touches on their next respective releases, and we plan to be hitting you with the one-two punch from those guys this Fall.
More to come, and far sooner than usual...
5.30.07 - UPDATE
Please hold while we freshen the place up a bit. The store will continue to run just fine. And heads up, the Dysrhythmia / Rothko split will street August 28th! We hope to have the new site up a couple of weeks before that. Grand.
04.03.07 - UPDATE
We are portly and proud to announce the addition of yet another seething wolf-headed baby to the Acerbic Noise family! Lafayette, Louisiana doom champions The Devil And The Sea (ex-members of Collapsar and Icepick Revival) are on board to release their debut full length through Acerbic Noise later this year. They will be documenting their diffusive ditties of deafening demolition within the next couple of months, and we're looking at a Fall type release.
02.15.07 - UPDATE
We're rather proud to announce that your remarkable / striking / creamy / delicious companions at Acerbic Noise are locked-in to release a split involving Philly's instrumental math-magicians DYSRHYTHMIA (Relapse Records), and London's minimalist sound-sculptors, ROTHKO. Dysrhythmia will be re-working a 13+ minute version of "Earthquake" (a track from their self-released Contradiction CD), as Rothko matches them with one introverted drone-a-thon. Both bands are finishing their recordings up, and we're looking to have this hulking display of genius out in August of this year.
11.11.06 - UPDATE
*ACERBIC NOISE / SELDON HUNT SHIRTS: The new Acerbic Noise shirts designed by Seldon Hunt will be available on 11.20.06. Seldon has designed posters, shirts, and cover art for many musical visionaries including Neurosis, The Melvins, Isis, Hydra Head Records, Khanate, Pelican, sunnO))), and a host of others. Visit his website for a shit ton of seizure inducing visual art. As for the shirts, they are printed on American Apparel (YES!), so buy up before they're gone.
*HEMATOVORE ADDS 4TH GUITARIST / IN STUDIO: Original Hematovore guitarist Randal Sewell has returned to the guitarmy, thus creating a superfecta of six-string madness. Excessive? Yes. Ridiculous? Possibly. But rockin'? You can bet your sweet tits it is. The freshly found six-piece is currently crammed in the studio whipping up the follow up to 2004's Untitled LP. You can expect it in stores in early 2007.
*GANON TO RECORD IN JANUARY: Ganon will be heading to the studio in January to record the as-yet-untitled follow up to In The Dead Of Sleep. They revealed some of the new material a few months ago, and it resulted in the immaculate conception of a wolf-headed baby girl, no shit. This release will also see a vinyl version via Division Sound.
*EL CHUPA COBRAS SHIRTS / DEMO: El Chupa Cobras shirts, as well as their 8-song cd-r/demo, will also be available 11.20.06. El Chupa Cobras is the main project of Acerbic Noise head-dick (or dick-head), Chad Baker. Get a better idea of what they have to offer here.

There are a couple of print options as well. One is the kinda standard, superhero chest print, and the other is a wacky-weirdo, side-stomach, colostomy bag print. 2.27.06 - UPDATE
THE STORE IS NOW UP! TIME TO MAKE OUR BANDS MILLIONAIRES!
Also, in other "bedazzling" news, we welcome yet another victim to the Acerbic roster. Michigan's Ganon will be releasing their elephantine composition, In The Dead Of Sleep via your pals at Acerbic Noise in the Spring of '06. That's right around the corner people! Look for MP3's in our media section in the coming weeks, or if you find a big, fat fire in your pants to hear them now, visit their Myspace site.
Also-ALSO, Hematovore is in the Buzz Section of the current issue of Guitar Player Magazine! It says it's the April issue, but subscribers are receiving it right now, so look for it on newsstands in a week or so. Finally, a band getting what they truly deserve!! Find out what all the "buzz" is about in our media section, and snag their new record from that killer store we just put up!
Also-ALSO-ALSO, the Verse And Radiation is back from the mastering plant, and oh boy…go ahead and set up your lemonade stand so your financial situation will allow this to be in your hands as soon as it's in ours!
2.02.06 - UPDATE
Ok, so the STORE isn't up yet, but we've added a bit of redirection under that section for purchases until we get that in gear. Give us a couple of weeks and there you'll find CD's, DVD's, shirts, stickers, buttons, half-eaten sandwiches, bullet belts, used tires, and old phone books all available in exchange for money, from the comfort of your easy chair.
The new Verse And Radiation hook-n-hammer, Along The Celestial Ruins, is now in the hands of Golden Mastering, and should be available around March-ish for all to fawn over. Find an advanced, unmastered mp3 in the Media section of our site, or visit them at their MYSPACE SITE for more. (www.myspace.com/verseandradiation)
And last but DEFINITELY not least, very good stuff coming up on the Hematovore front. Look for them to be featured in the Buzz Section of the April issue of Guitar Player Magazine! Should be a fine full-page interview, and we'd like to thank Guitar Player for putting up with us!
Allfernow...
1.16.06 - UPDATE
Bands added. Audio added under the media section.
12.27.05 - UPDATE
So we finally got this bitch up! Aren't we just so friggin' LEGIT! Thank you for bearing with us while we got our web presence up and running again, or if it's your first time checking us out, thank you for doing so. Here's a little bit of pointless background about us.
We also welcome with open, muscle-bound arms the third victim to our roster...Montgomery, AL's own black belts, Verse And Radiation! They are currently finishing up the recording process (and hopefully the naming process) of their yet-to-be-titled debut. John Golden will again be handling the mastering duties for this Acerbic release as well. For a description, go listen to their damn demos on Myspace! We'll have mp3's from the actual record up as soon as it's in our hands!
Other things brewing...we'll unleash the beasts as they ripen...
Thanks again for checking us out, hopefully this delightful display of modern technology (read: pain-in-the-ass) will be updated a lot more frequently than in the past!
